RM in 60 cap

Rifleman in this cap is arguably the best class for pvp, as they get two key skills, Knockout Shot and of course, Predator. Even though the new cap has only been out for a few days, its already very apparent that RM's in pred, and in general, can basically delete people from the map. A few predding RMs can take down a temple pretty easily, and pretty much kill uncontested. There is, of course, a lot of counterplay vs rms, insight, aoeing them out of pred, etc. I was just wondering if RM may be toned down in a future update? Maybe nerfing their Sharpshooter passive? At rank 10, it gives 55% crit damage, which is pretty crazy, and considering many RMs will stay in grey hawk for the foreseeable future, doing something about their crit damage would balance them a bit. Of course, this is just an inquiry, and people can put their opinions below :).

P.S: I play RM so please dont think im complaining or sumn, i just want to see the game balanced <3

Agreed, the counterplay to RMs in 60+ cap was sound in pred but since it's silent, they have pretty much free reign in mass pvP where people can't actively divert resources to specifically finding them. It also makes defending temples against pred way more toxic.

Even as a RM myself I couldn't agree more that RM is really OP in this cap. The main issue why RM hits like a truck is because of the Sharpshooter passive. 55% critical dmg is a huge number where the pvp crystals rn ( reduce critical dmg 2% ) barely wear down the digits. Paired up with the braindead single normal atk button, it definitely became too OP. Also with the new pred skill in this cap provide them greater survivability than some classes.

Therefore, I have thoughts on suggesting bringing back what the previous AikaHN revamped the RM skills. Basically the revamp is more on encouraging the RMs not to spam normal attack but using more skills such as sonic blast, headshot and hollow point. The sharpshooter was revamped to monster increase and the hawk eye buff significantly increases the SAM and amplification. It is kind of asking the RM time to move on and stop macroing normal (huge critical dmg loss) attack but to utilize the skill that requires casting (SAM is now buffed). RMs definitely hit way a lot lesser using normal attack from what I remember back in AikaHN.

You are true, the dragon soul gives a lot of crit dmg thus RM needs a nerf on that time. Crit damage scales a lot better when the cap goes up. In the future there will be better reduce crit dmg % PvP crystals to counter the crit damage back. I suddenly changed my mind nerfing the sharpshooter because sharpshooter is already maxed and also in the upcoming cap lmw set won't be really a viable set anymore. You have giovanni 65 that gives plenty of crit resist. It is so hard to land a critical hit even with Eagle Eye and Pinpoint Weakness on using 65 honor.

This cap 60 is only a temporary cap for RM to be meta class. People need to wait longer and let the players geared up their 60 cap new gears +12, shedding off the raw damage provided by gray hawk.

Another thing to highlight regarding Sniping Stance a.k.a Predator, the decrease move speed in that pred is so huge that players can barely utilize their macro speed and flexibility. I find out that is already enough to put RM on hold their macro speed.
